Fire Fighters for Healing - FFFH



The first burn victims healing center in the nation is the Firefighters For Healing Center in Downtown Minneapolis. I had the honor of creating a mural for the healing center for burn victims and their families to enjoy. The unique healing center is a space where victims of fire-related injuries and trauma can come and heal with their families. It’s located directly across from the Fairview Hennepin Hospital of Minneapolis and connects via a skyway for easy transit back and forth.

Jake LaFerriere (a former firefighter and burn victim, pictured with me below) and Chris Dunker are the pioneers of the FFFH center. They’ve done tremendous work for firefighters and their communities and now this new healing center is their home and supportive way to continue to give back. The mural reflects Jake’s story and depicts Firefighters, first responders, doctors and neuroses who are all true heroes.
