Cycle Minneapolis was one of the first cycling-related pieces of art that I've made. One of the major reasons I made it was because it was the inaugural year of Artcrank in 2007. Artcrank hosted a bike art show of primarily screen printed posters. Artcrank gave me a reason to start created bike art. I love a reason to make my art. So when a group show with a theme about art based on the bicycle comes around, I'll raise my hand and start drawing and printing. Plus, there was a deadline. Deadlines are good or who knows when something gets done, right?!

I digress. Cycle Minneapolis is the first screen print in a series of 5 "Cycle ____" prints featuring the Twin Cities to Northern Minnesota that I've made throughout a 4-ish or so year period.

You'll see three editions for this print. The first one was done in March of 2007 which were the prints that at the inaugural Artcrank show. That initial run of prints, was sold out at the show. However, I kept a few back to continue to sell after the show's run was over. These are the leftovers that I've had hidden away.

The second edition was printed in September of 2007. I thought I'd sold out of them, but then one day, I found a few hidden.

The open edition is not numbered. It is signed and dated on a natural-colored paper stock a little lighter than the previous editions.
