Hermann the German
$25.00
Day 23 of Inktober 2022
Hermann the German has brandished his Teutonic battle sword over New Ulm since 1897 in the all of the seasonal conditions that Minnesota has to offer. Including icicles that may hang from you nose when it's bitter cold.
New Ulm extolled Hermann as a freedom-fighter, and built the statue to counter Prohibitionists who claimed that Germans only loved beer. Referenced from Roadside America
This artwork was originally a 10" x 10" x 7/8" painting (acrylic and spray paint on hardwood panel)
