Cyclocross is just plain bad@$$. That's all there is to it. Riding robust road bikes in the woods and courses with water, sand, stairs, hurdles, etc. It takes a true athelete to ride cyclocross.

I think I'd last about 1/4 lap and collapse. Did I mention there's cowbells, beer hand-offs, and dollar bills to be had while riding and spectating? It's a super fun time.
